  • Financial Aid Offer Timeline

OHIO typically sends comprehensive Financial Aid Offers to incoming students in February and continuing students in March. We are unable provide 2024-2025 aid offers in this timeframe due to FAFSA delays. The U.S. Department of Education has indicated that schools will not begin to receive FAFSA information until mid-March. Once OHIO receives FAFSA data, we will begin system testing and preparations for financial aid packaging. We expect to begin sending Financial Aid Offers to incoming students in April.

We recognize this delay in receiving your Financial Aid Offer can impact your college enrollment planning. We are doing everything we can to help, including extending our deadlines and awarding select scholarships prior to receiving FAFSA data.

We're happy to talk with you and your family more about any questions you have and provide one-on-one assistance with completing your FAFSA. Please reach out to us at 740.593.4141 or financial.aid@91src.com

2024-25 Timeline Updates Due to FAFSA Changes

OHIO is closely monitoring how changes to the 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) are impacting students and families. We will post any updates to our process and timelines here to keep you informed.

  • FAFSA Launch: While the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is normally available October 1 each year, due to these significant changes, the 2024-25 FAFSA was delayed until December 31. The December release date is only applicable to the 2024-25 FAFSA. The 2025-26 FAFSA is expected to be available October 2024.
  • FAFSA First-Priority Date: On March 15, OHIO extended the first-priority date for submission of the FAFSA to at least April 1.
  • Financial Aid Offers: OHIO expects to begin sending Financial Aid Offers to incoming students in April. Aid Offers will be sent by mail to home addresses and notification of aid offers will be sent by email.
  • Deadline to Confirm Intent to Enroll at OHIO: In February, OHIO extended the deadline for incoming students to confirm their intent to enroll at OHIO to May 15. Students confirm their intent to enroll by submitting their housing contract and deposit or commuter contract. We understand the delay in Financial Aid Offers impacts families, and we hope extending this deadline will provide you and your family the time you need to make an informed decision about college enrollment this fall.

Visit the FAFSA Simplification page for more information on the changes to the application process and calculation of financial aid eligibility beginning with the 2024-25 academic year.
